Dry Needling

Dry Needling is a highly effective form of Physical Therapy for the treatment of a multitude of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. At Trinity Wellness, we practice Integrative Dry Needling. This approach involves placing a small, sterile disposable needle into the tissue that is tender or the surrounding area with the intent to normalize the tissue. The result can be improving the flexibility, function and decreasing the symptoms in the muscular system. Learn more about Integrative Dry Needling at integrativedryneedling.com.

Responses immediately following can vary. Many patients experience immediate relief of their symptoms and an increase in range of motion. Others can feel soreness before the relief. Your physical therapist will be able to guide you in the number of treatments you may need to cause the mechanical and biochemical changes specific to the state of your injury and your overall health.

This form of treatment can be highly effective in addressing a variety of sprains and strains, muscle spasm, nerve irritation, headaches and muscle/joint pain. It can greatly accelerate or promote healing in both acute and chronic conditions. Dry Needling allows a therapist to specifically target deep or stubborn areas that have not responded to other techniques. Often, it can stimulate a healing reponse within the tissue.

We offer dry needling as part of a comprehensive physical therapy treatment plan or as an isolated service.
