Meet Our Team
Emily Buffum
Owner & Founder; PT, MPT, ATC
Luke and Emily Buffum are a husband-and-wife team who are the owners and founders of Trinity Wellness Center. They started the practice in January 2002 and have been committed to providing quality care in a positive and personal environment.
Emily attended UNC-Chapel Hill where she was a varsity cheerleader, a student athletic trainer, and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honorary society. She completed UNC’s accredited athletic training program and earned a degree in Exercise and Sport Science, becoming a certified athletic trainer following graduation. She continued her education at UNC-Chapel Hill, earning a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2000.
Luke and Emily worked side by side developing Trinity Wellness Center during the early years of their marriage. As their family began to grow, Emily has transitioned from direct patient care to an administrative role. In addition to her administrative duties, she has taken an active role in the gymnastics community, providing on-site physical therapy at both Raleigh School of Gymnastics (RSG) and Sonshine Gymnastics.
The Buffums have four daughters that keep them busy, and Emily is the daily driver for all of their sports and activities. As a family, they love traveling, hiking, and spending time at the beach.
