Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular rehabilitation is a form of physical therapy that uses a combination of oculomotor and balance exercises to assist with symptoms and improve functional deficits in patients with vestibular disorders. Patients suffering from vestibular disorders often have symptoms of dizziness, vertigo, nausea, abnormal eye movements and difficulty with balancing and/or walking. An evaluation will be performed to determine the cause of patient’s symptoms and a treatment plan will be developed that will include repositioning techniques, patient education and an individualized home exercise program.

Common disorders treated include:

  • Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo
  • Vestibular neuritis
  • Labyrinthitis
  • Post Concussion Syndrome
