Postural Restoration

Postural Restoration is a unique approach that compliments traditional physical therapy to address the imbalances and asymmetries that develop in our body through our daily lives and environment. The human body is not symmetrical and is predisposed to move in certain directions over time that may lead to pain, movement restrictions, or asymmetry. This may manifest through overdevelopment of certain muscles, uneven shoulder and rib heights, curvature of the spine, or inability to squat or touch your toes.

Restoration of posture throughout our muscular, respiratory and sensory systems can address limited functional movement patterns and help us to breathe, rotate and rest symmetrically and relieve pain that may have developed.

Postural Restoration is used across a variety of settings including professional and collegiate athletics, dance, and to treat patients of all ages with a wide variety of conditions.
